Areas of specialisation
I almost exclusively specialise in criminal work and have a broad experience of work ranging from simple theft to serious sexual assaults and armed robberies, have been instructed to appear in appeals including an appeal by way of case stated dealing with the amendment of an information after the close of the prosecution case. Recent Crown Court instructions include defending a 3-handed matter of robbery and possession of a firearm; sexual assault and, witness intimidation.

Other Relevant Experience

I previously worked in a firm of criminal solicitors, managing my own case load. Working on and assisting with a wide number of cases including murder, serious assaults, rape, and other less serious offences. I was also heavily involved in a serious fraud matter which was listed for a three month trial but resulted in a successful submission of no case to answer.

The criminal work regarding local government and the licensing work that I undertake are also enhanced by the fact that I have a good understanding of the way local government works, by virtue of the fact that I am an Independent local councillor, and have been since 1999.
