Criminal Work
I undertake all levels and types of criminal work. I am currently involved with defending a three-handed armed robbery matter, which concerns
some serious evidential issues.
Recently I successfully represented the accused at trial for a serious sexual assault, which also involved issues pertaining to past sexual conduct. I have also defended a range of other matters including theft, witness intimidation, burglary, false use of a passport, deception, affray and serious assault allegations. Further, I have experience in representing serving police officers accused of offences.
Another area in which I have accumulated expertise is in defending animal cruelty cases - I recently represented an accused at trial of multiple charges of animal cruelty, and again at an appeal on the same matters in the Crown Court. I have recently been involved in providing advice on issues relating to hunting with hounds etc.
Although defending is my preference I also undertake prosecution in the Magistrates and Crown Courts. As well as prosecuting for the CPS I also have experience of prosecution work for the Department of Work and Pensions and a number of Borough and District Councils, at all levels.
